About Sharelle Klauss
As a mother of four young children and food lover who is passionate about wine pairings, entrepreneur Sharelle Klaus realized the need for a beverage that was as delicious as a fine wine but non-alcoholic, an alternative to iced tea or water. From that idea DRY Soda was born.
Klaus brings more than a decade of entrepreneurial, financial and technology experience to DRY Soda. She began her career as consultant for Infrastructure Management Group, with a focus on airport analysis. She then worked as a consultant for Price Waterhouse developing their airport practice. In 1999, Klaus founded PlanetSquid Inc., an investor-backed secure online community for “tweens” (10-14 year-old children), which allowed consumers the most control while providing a secure online environment. In addition to her roles as consultant and entrepreneur, she served as president of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, where she drove strategic development of programs, events and fundraising for the organization’s more than 250 Seattle-area members.
Klaus graduated from Seattle Pacific University with an undergraduate degree in political science. She currently lives in Seattle’s Madrona neighborhood, with her husband James and their children.
