Tim Ferriss Author, The Four Hour Workweek |
October 17th, 2008 |
I had a chance to sit down with my very good friend Tim Ferriss and talk about his amazing rise to fame with his best selling first book, The Four Hour Workweek. In this interview, Tim reveals a lot about his process for creating and promoting the book, what he has learned about time management and uncomplicating his life, and how to do an on screen interview despite distractions from Shakira … check it out!

1I think my first feelings about Tim were jealousy and skepticism, but fortunately, I’ve gotten past that to where I am now inspired and challenged toward growth.
Thanks for the interview, and thanks to Tim for doing what he does.

2“Don’t write what you think your readers want to read, write what your passionate about”
That’s the one quote I would take away from the video.
You are then expressing yourself, your thoughts, and opening the floor for discussion. Readers also can pick up on your passion.

3So that’s what Tim looks like. I listend to the audio book not that long ago and I had a much different picture in my mind. I too found the message very inspiring.

7I’m a huge personal fan of Tim Ferriss. I really like what he has to say about blog writing and particularly his “Lifestyle Design” philosophy.

10Indeed, what you are passionate about is the thing. Stephen King also advised that in his how-to-write-book, but in different words.

11I agree… You should write about something that you are interested in. Be truthful because your readers will notice if you are being yourself or if you are pretending to be someone you are not
